If you run a small or growing business you have probably faced the same two choices. You can hire a big agency and get layers of account managers between you and the people doing the work. Or you can settle for a template and a handful of disconnected vendors and hope it all holds together.

Neither one is built around you. The first buys you polish and overhead you never asked for. The second leaves you with work that does not reflect how good your business really is.

I know both sides of that gap. I spent more than 30 years inside major agencies working on campaigns for global brands. I kept noticing the same thing. The people getting that level of work were almost never small businesses.

So I started GAVIC to change that. The goal is simple. Senior-level strategy, design, development, and marketing for the businesses that have never been able to get it. That is what helping you prosper with lasting success actually means.

Where I came from

Thirty Years of Making the Work, Now Focused on Yours

I have worked in graphic design, advertising, and marketing for more than 30 years. I have worked for agencies including Crispin Porter + Bogusky, The Integer Group, On Board Experiential, Made Movement, and Winter Group. Along the way I collaborated with industry experts on national and global campaigns.

On the creative side I was lead designer and artist on campaigns for Haggar, Virgin, and Sprite. That list also includes a Station Domination campaign and a national advocacy campaign. I contributed as artist and designer to work for Volkswagen, Domino’s, Microsoft, and others.

On the development side I was lead developer on work for Nike and Nike+ and on the Nike Women’s Half Marathon for two years. I was also lead developer on the Mrs. Meyer’s campaign and a developer on many others. I have been building for the web for more than 20 years.

I also took on freelance projects for clients who needed more than a template and a plugin. Those included enterprise-level SharePoint builds, API integrations, and international engagements. I have also worked with the staffing firms Robert Half (formerly The Creative Group) and Aquent. All of it taught me to treat every client like an enterprise client no matter their size. Scope it clearly. Build it right. Stay accountable to results.

I learned marketing the way the best marketers do. By working beside industry experts for decades. That is why I see design, development, and messaging as one system. Design shapes trust. Development shapes performance. Messaging shapes response.

I founded GAVIC Strategies in September 2024. Today GAVIC serves clients in healthcare, telemedicine, software, hospitality, construction, aesthetics, veterinary services, and professional services. The industries are different. The standard is the same.

I am a designer, a developer, and a marketer. Not someone with a side skill in the other two. I have done all three at a high level for decades. That is why I can connect your brand, your website, and your marketing into one system that works.

How I run a project matters as much as what I know. Every engagement starts with a clear scope. You get regular updates and milestone check-ins. I test every deliverable before I present it. That sounds like a baseline expectation. It is less common than it should be and it is the reason my client relationships last.

A lot of project disappointments trace back to one moment: when the work started before anyone was clear on what the work actually was. I do not do that. Every project begins with a formal proposal or statement of work that defines deliverables, hours, and timelines before anything moves. You know what you are getting before you say yes.

Handing work to an agency and then waiting weeks for an update is one of the most common complaints business owners have. I build regular check-ins and milestone approvals into every project. You stay informed. You stay in control. You never have to chase me for a status update.

I think past the launch

A site that launches and then declines in performance is not a success. It is a delayed problem. I build with ongoing performance in mind and train you to manage what I deliver. AI helps me move faster. It does not replace judgment or craft. Everything you receive has been reviewed by a human before it reaches you.

I would rather give you a straightforward answer than an impressive-sounding one. Clear scopes. Clear communication. When something is uncertain I say so. When something is not possible I say that too. You will never leave a conversation with me wondering what I meant.

I do not measure success by how many deliverables I shipped or how many hours I logged. I measure it by whether the work produced the result it was supposed to produce.
